Please note that there will be traffic delays in Hobart on Saturday 6 December, due to a motorcycle parade. Between 2:30pm and 3:30pm no cars will be able to cross Brooker Avenue. This means that no cars will be able to go from Macqaurie St to the Tasman Highway, and this means that your trip from the University to the airport will be delayed. If you leave the University at 2pm or earlier then you will make it through the city before the parade starts, and so you can expect a normal travel time to the airport (30-35 minutes from University to airport). If you leave the University between 2pm and about 3:30pm then you will get stuck in traffic in Macquarie St in the city - the traffic will begin to clear at approximately 3:30pm, which means that you should arrive at the airport soon after 4pm. If you leave the University at 3:30pm or later, then Brooker Avenue will be open once again and so you can expect a normal travel time to the airport (30-35 minutes - but perhaps allow a little longer if you are leaving the University soon after 3:30, since there will be backed-up cars that need to be cleared.)
